In a bid to merge reality with the digital realm, SHOWstudio's virtual exhibition will be broadcasted to the public this evening, showcasing the work of digital artist Luna Ikuta.

Consistently seeking to push the boundaries of fashion communication, exploring fashion's ever-evolving relationship with technology, we're excited to announce that as of this evening, we are showcasing a new virtual exhibition. Over the past month, we have invited all kinds of artists, from designers and makers, painters and illustrators, to photographers and image makers to send us their work; after receiving many incredible submissions, featuring all kinds of talent we hand-picked 20 of the best to be included in the interactive experience. The exhibition will be broadcasted by us live into the studio space, inviting the public to react by sketching and discussing in the accompanying live chat room.

Projections will happen three times a week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday over the following month, with each new projection focusing on a different artist altogether. This evening, we're showcasing the work of digital artist Luna Ikuta.

Ikuta's work often focuses on the intricacy mother nature has to offer, featuring extraterrestrial transparent plants and fungi that exist in a four-dimensional realm. Her new series Afterlife has been described as a 'ghostly water garden of transparent california poppies' and immortalises the everyday flower in a makeshift aquatic garden.

The very essence of her Ikuta's work is about mixing the digital with the real, creating the hyperreal. For this reason, we're choosing Ikuta to kickstart this virtual exhibition - one that also goes a step further to amalgamate two realms; as the audience for the show will remain online, the work broadcasted will step into the real world, bridging and alternate reality.
