Lacoste Embraces Heritage For It's 90th Anniversary
Some brands remain timeless, and we hope they continue to be just that. Lacoste is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, but age hasn't dulled their contemporary spirit. Don’t believe us? Take a peek at the brand's fresh and vibrant new pop-up store in London, a collaboration between Lacoste and Wavey Garms. Together, they celebrate cultures, generations, and a living heritage that keeps evolving.
Once upon a time, young folks sported Lacoste tracksuits and sneakers at raves and parties, making it the go-to uniform. Now that the nineties are making a comeback, it's the perfect time to rummage through your old wardrobes (or your parents) in search of vintage treasures. And if you don't find what you're looking for, don't fret, because the pop-up store has you covered.
Curated by vintage expert Andres Branco, the founder of Wavey Garms, the store features over 400 items from tracksuits to runway pieces. Alongside archival gems, you'll discover reimagined classic polos transformed by renowned tag artists including TOX, PETRO, and HENRY HOTROCC. As you explore these styles, you'll also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in electronic beats, as Lacoste has teamed up with Resident Advisor to elevate the space with live performances and showcase the creative process behind such musicians like Working Alewya, Josh Caffé, Nightmares on Wax and re:ni.
The Lacoste pop-up is open until 26 September in Shoreditch’s Truman Brewery.
