Kiko Kostadinov and C.P. Company Collide In The Great Outdoors
When it comes to contemporary brands collaborating with the bigwigs, no one is doing it quite like Kiko Kostadinov. The cult-favourite London label has turned to the expertise of fashion’s biggest brands like Asics, Levi’s and Heaven by Marc Jacobs in his plight for global expansion. It’s his ongoing collaboration with Italian sportswear brand C.P. Company that sees the designer carving out a niche for innovative outdoor gear.
Embracing loose shapes and practical elements, the collection introduces a modular jacket, cargo trousers, and a hoodie, embodying the ethos of both brands. Crafted from Flatt Nylon, an energized opaque nylon blended with Mais gabardine, the cornerstone of the collection is the transformative jacket. Its ingenious design allows the wearer to remove the front insert, seamlessly converting it into a zippered bag, courtesy of a central fastening button.
Complementing the jacket are the cargo trousers, featuring a zip closure, double-button waistband, side pockets, and panel construction, ensuring both style and utility. Meanwhile, the hooded sweatshirt, fashioned from a cotton blend with Flatt Nylon, boasts a unique silhouette that epitomizes adaptability. The striking Green Flash colour way, accentuated by signature Kiko Kostadinov contrast stitching, adds a vibrant dimension to the collection.
The accompanying campaign imagery evokes the moody nostalgia of exploration and adventure, capturing the essence of the collection's rugged yet contemporary aesthetic. Shot against dramatic landscapes, the campaign imagery transports viewers to distant terrains, echoing the spirit of wanderlust and discovery that inspires both C.P. Company and Kiko Kostadinov.
