In January this year, Bottega Veneta wiped out all their social media accounts – shock horror. In Instagram's place, creative director Daniel Lee embarked on a quieter, more thoughtful online project – a quarterly digital journal that straddled the line between the physical and the digital. The first issue was launched in March, and featured Missy Elliot, Mariacarla Boscono and Caleb Femi. It was something of a deep dive into the Bottega moodboard; Tyrone Lebon's crisp, minimalistic imagery proliferated alongside gelatinous, ASMR-esque graphics. Issue 02, released in June, featured Naomi Campbell, Travis Scott and more for a smoking hot Bottega Veneta summer.
And now, the third issue has hit the internet. Bottega has pulled in some fantastic photographers for this one, mixing the older generation with the young – Nan Goldin, Lebon (of course), Rosie Marks and Joshua Gordon. And of course, the talent is excellent too – there's musician Kelsey Lu, DJ Honey Dijon and footballer Raheem Sterling alongside footage of bags inflating, rippling graphics, and skeuomorphic, torn up photographs.
