Karl Lagerfeld Announces Collaboration with Model Amber Valletta

After a successful collaboration with fashion designer Kenneth Ize, the Karl Lagerfeld label has chosen the nineties supermodel turned TV actress Amber Valletta to team up with next. The KARL LAGERFELD X AMBER VALLETTA collaboration will drop an accessories line in March 2021.

The collaboration will put its own twist on the brand's signature K /Kushion bag; a bag inspired by a cushion Lagerfeld has carried around with him since he was little.

Valletta said of the trademark bag:

'The K/Kushion bag is such a versatile style, and I love how ours will be made with innovative materials and respect for the environment.'

Available to buy in two eco-friendly materials, the first edition of K/ Kushion bag comes in 90% recycled neutral sandy and the second is crafted in vegan cactus leather. Other accessories include a reusable water bottle, zip wallet, cardholder, face mask and laundry bag; all produced in an ecologically conscious manner.

'More than five years ago, Amber and I started discussing the possibility to jointly develop a sustainable project,' said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of KARL LAGERFELD. 'We were not ready back then, but continuously kept this objective on the radar. I'm so excited to now bring Amber on board as a sustainability collaborator, to work on such a project and be able to benefit from her great insights and our shared passion for environmental sustainability. The KARL LAGERFELD X AMBER VALLETTA designs will launch in March 2021 at KARL LAGERFELD stores worldwide, and on KARL.COM.
