Julie Pelipas' BETTTER Launches BROWNS Capsule
Beautiful tailored coats, a layered wool trouser, a cotton shirt bodysuit. Ukrainian brand BETTTER is all about flawless essentials, overseen by founder Julie Pelipas. A new exclusive 26-piece capsule collection for Browns in London shows that upcycling can be sharp and deliciously minimal too, with menswear suits reworked into women's tailoring.
A 2023 LVMH Prize finalist, BETTTER are a pioneering force. Established in 2019, they have developed technology to better upcycle tailoring, deconstructing suits seam by seam, remaking new and refined silhouettes.
'It felt time to materialise BETTTER’s physical presence in my favourite city, London', Pelipas explains. 'I’d just moved here so it was the very beginning of my relationship with this rainy gentleman and as they say, it was a real candy-bouquet period, when you are blindly in love. The traffic, the city structure, the very rushed hours, school drops, business meetings - surviving that hectic schedule you have to keep your gentlewomen look unbothered. And this is everything we’ve captured in the collection.'
Available at Browns Brook Street, online at Brownsfashion.com and FARFETCH, prices range from £390 to £2,505.
