Jordanluca are no stranger to a rogue collab. As part of their A/W 23 collection, English-Italian designers Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto unveiled a capsule collection with Lonsdale, marking the first high-fashion collaboration for the British sportswear brand. Now the design duo are going from the gym to high tea by partnering up with Italian design company Seletti on a set of whimsical crockery.

Dubbed the ‘Meltdown’ collection, Jordanluca’s first collaboration with Seletti brings together two British traditions that might just be polar opposites: raves and tea time. Not your grandmother’s tea set, the collaboration is just as subversive as Jordanluca’s menswear, with porcelain cups and saucers crafted into psychedelic shapes. The collection also features a wavy tray and teapot. The latter is finished with a cheeky pill-shaped finial as a homage to those late nights out.

Known for designs that toe the line into sleaze (their Explore London T-shirt charts the city’s cruising spots), teaming up with Seletti, the collaboration marks a seamless fusion of fashion and home decor. After all, Seletti’s whimsical tongue-in-cheek designs have captivated both the art and fashion world since they were established in 1964.

More than just a meeting of minds, the collab is a celebration of individuality, a collision of seemingly disparate worlds that, when brought together, create something entirely new and captivating. The 'Meltdown' collection invites us to rethink our preconceptions about tea time, challenging us to embrace the unexpected and infuse a bit of rebellious spirit into our daily rituals.
