Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo will co-curate East Asia’s leading art, fashion and culture event in Shanghai this December.
As East Asia’s leading art, fashion and culture event, INNERSECT is not one to miss. In October 2017, SHOWstudio covered Edison Chen's iteration of INNERSECT, with conversations from the likes of A$AP Rocky, Tremaine Emory, Yoon Ahn and Matthew Williams. This year, INNERSECT, has teamed up with luxury streetwear label Fear of God and its founder, American designer Jerry Lorenzo – who will co-curate the event.
'Jerry Lorenzo has fully demonstrated that his impact on the creative industry has no boundaries. From luxury to sportswear, he resonates perfectly with our values, shares the same progressive mentality on contemporary culture, and embodies the intersection of aesthetics, authenticity, and diversity,' said Kaufmann Zhang, founder of INNERSECT.
The three-day festival will feature an immersive experience under the theme of 'Balance' as co-curated by Fear of God alongside a programme of guest designers, talks, drops and events. 'I look forward to bringing the world of Fear of God to life across our 3 pillars, Fear of God, ESSENTIALS and Fear of God Athletics with adidas,' said Lorenzo. 'This is the first time we are activating all 3 pillars together, which will give our community a deeper understanding of who we are.'
Founded in 2017, INNERSECT occurs annually in December, bringing together an international lineup of leading figures from the worlds of fashion, art, sport, lifestyle, beauty, gaming, food and music. The 2019 edition drew 60,000 visitors over three days – post-pandemic, this year's INNERSECT is sure to attract even more.
INNERSECT 2021 runs from 10-12 December, 2021.
