Jacquemus And Nike Max Out Again
In announcing the Air Max 1 as his third Nike collaboration, Simon Porte Jacquemus is trending to gain more acclaim on StockX than Paris runways. The partnership between Nike and the House of Jacquemus hits year three with an edit of Nike’s classic Air Max trainer in three distinct colourways.
Preview images detail white/sand, red and silver versions. Jacquemus increased the cozy inside with a quilted sock liner and modified the rounded toe box to a square shape slightly resembling a hammerhead shark. Jacquemus distinguishes their renditions with a tiny, metallic Nike Swoosh logo appearing at midfoot, this time in silver rather than previous gold iterations. Nike’s pillow-shaped swing tags are potentially more covetable than the trainer as each square Jacquemus-logoed medallion matches the colour code of its upper.
The Jacquemus Air Max 1 follows 2023’s ‘J’ Force 1 release, which preceded the Jacquemus x Nike ACG Air Humara in 2022. Jacquemus completes his reimagining of 1990s Nike iconoclasts with the 34-year old classic. At this point, his Nike trinity could possibly be discussed in rarefied air with Raf Simons own 2010s couture trilogy at Jil Sander. Three is indeed the lucky number.
Sneakerheads should know that while no release date has been…released…we do know each style will retail for €180 on Jacquemus.com.
