Rooted in the landscape of America and Hollywood, the family-run brand GUESS redefined denim in the 1980s before growing into a global lifestyle label with a wealth of archives to pillage. Since 2016, GUESS Originals has been remixing retro and archive styles for a younger audience, from their nostalgic take on Hot Wheels™ graphics to collaborations with contemporary icons including A$AP Rocky, Hailey Bieber and J-Balvin. In recent seasons, the brand has paid homage to denim plus trends like collegiate apparel and workwear. For their latest Fall 2023 collection, they're returning to the beaches of California for an all-American line-up.
Continuing to look back on the GUESS brand's heritage in line with vintage styles, the GUESS Originals Fall 2023 campaign continues a recent focus on workwear and back to school themes. Defined by a relaxed, oversized and boxy silhouette, staple carpenter jeans, denim two-pieces, tees and hoodies return, but in new dyed canvas and vintage washes. In line with fashion's move away from logomania, the brand finds its identity in the details, such as the attention to standout material finishes and understated logo stitching. Raw-hemmed flannel shirts and a denim carpenter zip jacket nod to an ease of styling for that California cool, whilst more statement details like an archive western print and patchwork details on a bomber ensure the GUESS Originals wearer stands out from the crowd.
