Making his runway debut in September 2020, Givenchy's creative director Matthew M. Williams has set the French luxury house on a path away from that of his immediate predecessor. He's ensured that the brand is represented by artists, musicians and cultural icons including collaborators such as Young Thug, Josh Smith and Chito, whose work featured as part of Givenchy's first NFT. Speaking to a consumer who is familiar with the 'drop' product launch format, Williams is courting a new, modern generation of luxury buyers. They can now sign up for exclusive access to the TK-360 sneaker - a highly technical single-piece product constructed in stretch knit which extends to the sole - which will be launched as part of the Pre-Fall 2022 collection on 6 May.

Williams has been posting updates on the design to his personal Instagram ever since debuting it on the S/S 22 runway. Referred to as Williams' 'dream shoe', the TK-360 has been a labour of love by the Givenchy team, with its curving, bulbous form signalling to its futuristic nature. Available in black and white, together with acid yellow, grey, beige and light pink, the sneakers retail for €750.
