The latest chapter in the Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS saga is here; building off of the collaborative history between the cult London-based designer and Japanese sportswear expert, the pair have launched a special advance release of the Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK shoe. Designed in three colour-ways (meteorite and cress green, fired brick and blue grass, and candy apple red and cloud dancer – yes, whoever came up with these colour names had an absolute ball), the trainer is Kiko's most most sculptural yet; with a bulbous, SCUTOID GEL shaped heel, these shoes provide optimum cushioning for the urban dweller getting their steps in.
Two years in the making, the new trainer celebrates the international spirit of sport – something abundantly clear in the campaign imagery, shot by British photographer and filmmaker Frank Lebon. Starring a kitted-out cast of men and women in full Kiko tracksuits, the team throw a ball emblazoned with a smiley face back and forth, joyfully running and squatting in the process.
As a pre-launch, ten pairs of the GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK, in each of the three colour-ways, are available to buy now.
