Rihanna's Fenty, recently honoured with the Urban Luxe award at The British Fashion Awards, launched its exclusive City Bloom capsule collection with British designer ASAI at Selfridges, London last night. The collaboration features A Sai Ta's customisation of 24 pieces from Fenty including the floral printed jersey dress and long-sleeved top.

A Sai Ta previously worked with The Row and Kanye West's Yeezy during his MA at Central Saint Martins, before launching his own label ASAI with Fashion East in 2017. The designs take on his cultural heritage and love for craftsmanship, often manipulating fabric in order to disrupt a garments familiarity. The ASAI Hot Wok tie-dye top has gained incredible popularity through social media and celebrity, their distinct style now instantly recognisable. It was this design, that Ta chose to implement throughout the Fenty capsule.

Indeed, fans of both ASAI and Rihanna will have noticed Rihanna's love for the brand long ago, as she was noticed wearing Ta's Hot Wok designs while on holiday - much to Instagram's delight. ASAI was missing from the S/S 20 show schedule, perhaps this Fenty collection is what kept him away.

The event saw a host of fans and friends alike celebrate the duo's collaboration, with the likes of singer Jorja Smith and stylist Leah Abbott dancing to the DJ set from Tiffany Calver.

24 Pieces - 2 styles of Tops and 4 Dresses - are now available exclusively from Selfridges.
