Fendi Heads To Florence For Pitti Uomo
When it comes to sartorial pilgrimages, Pitti Immagine Uomo is the holy grail for any menswear enthusiast. Every year editors, stylists and designers flock to the Florentine fashion fair to peep the latest menswear trends. Of course, what really separates Pitti from the other fashion weeks are its infamous street style (Dandy peacocks abound) and its roster of guest designers. Heavy hitters and emerging talents from Raf Simons to Craig Green and most recently Martine Rose are just some who have had the privileged platform. Well, for the 104 edition of Pitti, it's none other than Fendi who will be taking over Florence.
Come June, Fendi's artistic director of accessories and menswear Silvia Venturini Fendi is hopping from Milan to Florence to showcase the brand’s S/S 24 menswear collection. To highlight Fendi’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, the show will be held at the recently inaugurated Fendi Factory. Located in the heart of Tuscany — more specifically the city of Capannuccia — the show is sure to take inspiration from the local community of artisans.
‘I am thrilled that the next men's show will take place in such a special location to me, the pulsing heart of Fendi, a place symbolic of creation, where development, innovation, craftsmanship training and production are reunited under the same roof,’ says Fendi. ‘It will be such a unique occasion to see our products take life exactly where our artisans make them, letting them take centre stage on that day’.
Pitti Immagine Uomo 104 will take place from 13 to 16 June with the Fendi show scheduled on the 15th.
