Although we may have months to wait until the winners of the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards 2023 are announced, tensions are already high thanks to the lucrative cash prizes offered by the FTA. And when the winning designers are posed to receive a financial grant of $100,000 to $200,000 cash prize, you best believe that competition is high.
This year's ceremony is partnering with EMERGE Initiative, hosting Nigeria as its Guest Country for 2023. The accolade represents an opportunity for designers from emerging markets to exchange knowledge and encourage dialogue between cultures, with the award previously being held in Colombia and Turkey. Standing up to the FTA's reputation of only rewarding the most interesting and dedicated talent, this year's Advisory Board also continues the legacy of bringing together leading industry experts and tastemakers. Those announced to pick the 24 designer finalists for this year's FTA awards include:
Ana Khouri, Beka Gvishiani, Carljin Jacobs, Carlos Nazario, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Delfina Deletrez, Kelly Wearstler, Michael Ward, Miral Youssef, Nadia Dhouib, Peter Dundas, Piotrek Panszcyk, Beckett Fogg, Sarah Staudinger, Tyler Mitchell and Valerie Messika.
