A white shirt and black ribbon. The masculine alongside the feminine. The languor with the bohemian. The Ann Demeulemeester brand has been announced as Pitti Uomo’s guest of honour, having initially been rostered as the special guest for last year's men's trade show.
Despite the brand being designed by an anonymous design team for the past few years, the Florence event will celebrate the Belgian design icon by staging this special project curated by Demeulemeester herself. ‘A story that began forty years ago in Antwerp which, today, is strengthened by the new approach undertaken following the acquisition of the brand by Claudio Antonioli, Florence and Pitti Immagine are finally ready to celebrate Ann Demeulemeeter's extraordinary work,’ says Lapo Cianchi, director of communication and events at Pitti Immagine.
