Everything To Know About the Latest adidas SPEZIAL Liam Gallagher Trainer
adidas, the iconic sportswear brand, needs no introduction. Over the years, they've invited numerous famous faces to put their spin on their equally famous trainers, from Yohji Yamamoto to Peter Saville. Long-time adidas aficionado, the British musician Liam Gallagher, considers the adidas SPEZIAL range - designed by Gary Aspden - a core part of his tour wardrobe, from head to toe. Having previously collaborated on the LG SPZL shoe in 2019, based on the adidas Barrington Smash silhouette, the Three Stripes sportswear brand and Gallagher recently announced their second trainer with a gig in Blackburn’s King George’s Hall.
The new LG2 SPZL trainer sees two cultural icons come together once more, with a silhouette nodding to the original LG SPZL shoe, combining archival adidas squash and indoor models. A chalk white nylon upper sits atop a grey and white EVA Die cut midsole with rubber outsole. Gallagher's portrait is stamped on the trainer tongues in the adidas Originals' Bluebird pantone colour. Each pair then comes replete with custom packaging comprising: a box 'portrait' sticker which also pays homage to vintage adidas boxes and an ‘endorsed by Liam Gallagher’ leather hangtag portrait.
