Eva Green Sees Double on the Vivier Express
What does Eva Green have in common with Laura Dern? Aside from starring in countless award-winning films, both silver-screen icons have taken a trip on the Vivier Express. An ode to cinema, Roger Vivier’s fashion film campaign, from the mind of creative director Gherardo Felloni, celebrates the glamour and intrigue of classic filmmaking. With Eva Green as Felloni’s latest muse, the film unfolds as a stylish homage to vintage Hollywood, blending mystery with a dash of wit.
Set on the Vivier Express—a luxe, retro-inspired train—the storyline echoes the thrill of cinematic classics like Murder on the Orient Express and Shanghai Express, complete with dazzling Vivier accessories that take centre stage. Green takes on the role of both heroine and mysterious femme fatale as she comes face to face with her enigmatic doppelgänger.
‘To wear dreams on one’s feet is to give a reality to one’s dreams,’ Green says to the camera after her surreal showdown. The mirror of herself is the perfect way to spotlight Vivier’s playful designs, which were favourites of old Hollywood icons, including Marlene Dietrich and Brigitte Bardot. The core accessories for Green are the black and white Viv bag and I Love Pumps, highlighting the duality of her character.
Directed by Andrea Danese and Nicolangelo Gelormini, the film brings Felloni’s vision to life in a visual feast that blurs the line between fantasy and fashion. Last season, it was Laura Dern who took a trip on the Vivier Express in the series’ first episode, Travelling Icons. The shift to a film noir-inspired journey brings Green into the spotlight, with her enigmatic allure perfectly suited to the darker, moodier tones of the latest chapter.
