The eight-piece collection celebrates the Italy-based label’s innovative approach to garments, while also nodding to its integral ties to underground music culture.
The eight-piece collection celebrates the Italy-based label’s innovative approach to garments, while also nodding to its integral ties to underground music culture.
Following on from the duo's success of Schematic which debuted in 2021, END. and Matthew Williams’ 1017 ALYX 9SM have worked on an eight-piece collection Neon, celebrating high craft design while certifying the label's ties to underground music culture.
We all like to dance, and no one is inspired by club culture more than 1017 ALYX 9SM who - from day one - has created looks in response to the fringes of underground club culture. Celebrating 1017 ALYX 9SM's aesthetic rooted in electronic music and its subcultural milieu, END. have gone one step above, collaborating with the brand by looking to the neon hues we've all experienced on club dance floors before; it's these very hues that have gone onto inspire the resulting collection’s palette, with a vibrant shade of purple used throughout the capsule.
T-shirts and hoodies are crafted in Italy and hand painted to achieve a faded aesthetic while the oversized puffer is crafted from a treated nylon and detailed with the label’s now-synonymous buckle closure at the collar. The neon treatment also carries over to the collection’s accessories with a neon-hued, hand-painted bucket hat and a duo of experimental bags.
The collection will launch via END. stories on 20 January.
