Dior Men’s Signature Skater Shoe Just Got An Upgrade
When it comes to elevating streetwear through Parisian savoir-faire no one is as quite as masterful as Kim Jones. The Dior Men’s creative director has expertly blurred the lines of the everyday menswear wardrobe with the maison’s haute couture heritage since he took the creative helm in 2018. Need proof? Look no further than his take on the classic skate shoe; the B9S.
While we couldn’t imagine brand founder monsieur Christian Dior kick-flipping at the skatepark, the signature shoes haute couture-inspired revamp is sure to have made him proud. The chunky silhouette is reimagined in bold supple leathers, satins, and now, tweed. The leather versions are quilted into the maison’s instantly recognisable carnage print and come in a variety of colours from everyday beige and grey to vibrant highlighter yellow.
Still, it’s the new tweed editions that are sure to pique the interest of collectors worldwide. A fitting homage to Dior’s haute couture ateliers, the tweed style riffs on the jackets that informed Jones’ S/S 24 collection. It only makes sense then that these exceptional trainers would be extremely limited, with only 888 models going into production.
To verify the exclusive release, each pair will come with a digital product passport that includes a certificate of authenticity. An NFC chip embedded in the sole of each right shoe makes every pair unique and traceable.
The B9S trainer is available for pre-order now until 7 February.
