Consider Anne Hathaway and Cillian Murphy overachievers then, with the Best Supporting Actress and Best Actor winners trading learning lines for serving face in the latest Versace Icons campaign shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. Showing off the latest from artistic director Donatella Versace, the actors are breathing new life into the brand’s iconic codes.

Central to the collection are the iconic codes of Versace, ranging from instantly recognisable symbols like the Medusa to signature silhouettes, materials, and body-conscious cuts. From women's cropped raglan jackets with couture-like rounded shoulders to men's tailored jackets adorned with metal Medusa Biggie details, the collection exudes a sense of elevated sophistication.
‘I have met so many Versace women who are powerful, emotionally available, ambitious, substantive, funny, fierce, loving, singular, sexy, smart, talented, generous, very much like Donatella,’ says Anne Hathaway who has been a Versace global ambassador since April of last year. ‘I am so thrilled and honoured to be considered a Versace woman and am overjoyed to reunite with the Versace family for another Icons campaign.’
The versatility of the collection shines through in the meticulously designed pieces. A silk Barocco print insert at the back of a cotton trench coat or Medusa '95 metal hardware embellishing A-line skirts elevates everyday staples into statements of luxury and style.
‘Collaborating with Donatella – from sharing image references to selecting the music of Fountains D.C. for the video – resulted in a campaign that reflects who I am,’ says Cillian Murphy who took home his Best Actor Oscar just last month. ‘The collection of well-cut empowering designs made from great fabric suits me perfectly.’
Captured through the lens of renowned photographers Mert & Marcus, the campaign for Versace Icons showcases the collection's clean yet expressive attitude.
