If you spend the majority of your wind down television time by lusting after the main characters' outfits of your favourite TV show, Channel 4 have not only heard your prayers, but have listened. Are you the type of person to become distracted by a character's clothing looks while watching a drama series on TV? Do you spend your free time discussing with friends where you can buy your favourite characters' outfits? If so, you're in for a treat this Autumn. Balmain have partnered with Channel 4 to create a sponsored drama series, where the entire cast will be dressed in each of Balmain's A/W 21 designs. (Yes, in every episode.)
Starring US singer-songwriter Jesse Jo Stark, Charles Melton (from Riverdale), Tommy Dorfman (from 13 Reasons Why) and Ajani Russell (from Skate Kitchen), the television series in question, Fracture, will showcase all of the French house's latest designs. The move represents Channel 4's first-ever branded entertainment drama series and the first time a fashion house has partnered with a broadcaster in this way, meaning we predict each of the 5x8 minute episodes are about to get a whole lot of hype.
Overseen by former Channel 4 Drama Commissioning Editor Lee Mason (the mastermind behind Russell T Davies' It's A Sin and Charlie Covell's adaption of End of the F***ing World), Fracture will be available to watch from 2 September and will be streaming in the UK as a box set on All 4.
Worldwide streaming will take place on the series' bespoke co-branded website: www.fractureseries.com.
