Today, designers Serhat Isik and Benjamin A. Huseby of GmbH were announced as the new creative directors of Trussardi. In a joint post on Instagram, the pair wrote, 'With GmbH we have helped bring topics of inclusivity and responsibility to the forefront of the fashion discourse. Our vision for the revival of the house of Trussardi will be founded in these exact values.' The pair's first collection for Trussardi will debut in 2022, and they will continue to design for GmbH alongside their work at the Italian label.

GmbH was founded by Isik and Huseby in 2016 after the pair met on a Berlin dance floor the year before. In the five years that have elapsed since, GmbH have won critical acclaim for their use of deadstock fabrics and eclectic cultural influences - Berlin's techno scene and Middle Eastern culture among them.

Trussardi has altogether different beginnings; it started out as an Italian glove company in 1911. More recently, the house was helmed by Gaia Trussardi, who was creative director from 2011 to 2018. It is a no brainer that the GmbH duo will take the house in a radically different direction to that of its predecessors.
