The next chapter in Knight and Brandelli's artistic collaboration sees the creative director, designer and artist front the cover of The New Order Magazine.

The earliest online record of the collaboration between Carlo Brandelli and SHOWstudio is from 2008 – as part of our Political Fashion project, Brandelli reflected on crafting suits for powerful public figures in a lo-fi film submission. Since then, the designer has increasingly dabbled in art – his New Spirit Paintings, made with fellow artist Ewa Wilczynski, blurred the lines between performance art, painting, sculpture, costume and sound.

Taking their collaboration a step further, Nick Knight has captured Brandelli for the cover of The New Order Magazine Issue 25, entitled 'Absolution.' 'Read the interview about the creative part of my life that was more fashion-based and see new images of my design work archive over 25 years,' said Brandelli in an Instagram post announcing the cover.

Knight has also collaborated with Robert '3D' Del Naja of of the British group Massive Attack, who recently worked with Valentino on an audio-visual artwork to accompany the brand's S/S 21 haute couture show, Code Temporal.

Issue 25 of The New Order Magazine is available to buy now.
