The initiative will bring together 25 different independent British jewellers, with each maker donating a piece of work to an auction where all proceeds will go to the charity Women For Afghan Women.
Jewellers for Afghanistan will see the likes of By Pariah, Alexander McQueen collaborator Shaun Leane and Annoushka - among others - come together to each donate a piece of their work to an online auction. The thoughtful and much-needed initiative will partner with Roseberys London Fine Art Auctioneers, raising vital funds for the Afghanistan-based charity Women for Afghan Women.
Alongside jewellery's biggest stars, the auction will also shine a light on younger emerging jewellery designers, including Jessie Thomas, Bear Brooksbank, Liv Luttrell and Christopher Thompson Royds. Pieces donated range between £250 and £1200 and will be available to bid on via the Roseberys London Fine Art Auctioneers online bidding platform RoseberysLive.
The official online bidding will run for one week from 27 September to 4 October 2021, with all of the auction's profit going directly to Women for Afghan Women; a grassroots women's rights organisation that is helping to evacuate and provide urgent resources, shelter and care to vulnerable women, children and families during the ongoing crisis.
