It's no secret that sustainability is a big topic no matter what industry we're talking about. Beyond the green-washing tactics of novel fabrications and techniques, Bottega Veneta is keeping things simple with the introduction of The Certificate of Craft. Looking to limit production the new sustainable initiative is encouraging customers to keep their bags longer by providing unlimited refresh and repair services for Bottega's most iconic styles. The new complimentary care service also further highlights the brand's enduring quality and commitment to its distinctive craftsmanship.
‘The Certificate of Craft is born out of a desire to offer our clients a superior service of long-term preservation of their products’ explains Bottega Veneta CEO Leo Rongone. ' Our intention is to maintain products in use for longer, reducing the need for replacement’
From the Jodie to the Padded Casette bag, the heritage Italian leather brand aims to encourage the multi-generational wear of its products. The Certificate of Craft will be presented as a physical card linked to the serial number of a singular product. Starting in November Bottega Veneta boutiques worldwide will begin rolling out the program to its customers.
