Balenciaga Crashes the Office with New adidas Campaign
The ultimate sports-chic collaboration between Balenciaga and Adidas is finally here to shop. First unveiled in the epicentre of hustle, the New York Stock Exchange trading floor, Demna presented his Spring 23 collection with a sprinkling of sportswear by adidas. The runway debut in May was launched with a special selection of the adidas collaboration made available to purchase only for 72 hours, giving hardcore fans first dibs. Now, the collection is available in all its glory, launched with a Manhattan high-rise campaign starring a host of Balenciaga muses, ushering sportswear couture into the office.
Shot in the heart of the concrete jungle, Isabelle Huppert, Bella Hadid, Han So Hee, Jermell Charlo and Khadim Sock strike a pose by desks, corporate filing cabinets, desktop computers and stacks of documents, disrupting the monotony of the office in high-heeled Pantashoes and tracksuits cum business attire, finished off with adidas-madeover accessories such as the Balenciaga staple Hourglass bag and Triple S sneaker.
The images, captured by photojournalist Joshua Bright, depict the dichotomy of chaos and rebellion, whilst the videos shot by Rosie Marks entail the inner thought process of the afternoon workplace slump, urging for the much-anticipated weekend. Interestingly, Marks also shot the S/S 22 Martine Rose campaign set within a retro office environment, with Rose having previously consulted Demna in his early days at the helm of Balenciaga.
The collection, comprised of menswear, womenswear, sneakers and accessories launches today, November 3rd and is available in selected Balenciaga and adidas stores, fulfilling all of your sporty workwear desires.
