Ann Demeulemeester Sounds Better On Vinyl
As Stefano Gallici’s debut collection as Ann Demeulemeester’s creative director, the brand’s S/S 24 runway show was more than just a sartorial triumph. Sure, as a return to form for the brand with its draped tailoring, sheer staples, and poetic use of ribbons — and a runway cameo from model Kirsten Owen who first walked Ann Demeulemeester’s runway nearly three decades ago — we could spend all day gushing about Gallici’s designs. Still, it was the soundtrack that (almost) stole the show.
Featuring Milanese DJ Auggië’s track ‘Eclipse of You’, the heart-thumping beat and early built up to a sonic crescendo as models descended down the runway. Harkening to industrial goth classics from the likes of Bauhaus and Ministry, the deep and dynamic track only elevated the moody atmosphere of Gallici’s designs.
If you loved the track as much as we did then does Ann Demeulemeester have a treat for you? The Belgian brand is pressing a limited-edition vinyl of their S/S 24 soundtrack featuring the original track and a vocals only rendition. Made with super fans in mind, the extremely limited pressing of just 100 records. The future collector's item is packaged with an original poster inspired by the collection. It'll be made available at a select number of retailers and online. We couldn't think of a better fashion/music crossover.
