In an empty warehouse the world of dance, fashion, and film collide as Alexander McQueen showcases its latest trainers, the Sprint Runner. A captivating display of juxtaposition, dancer MetteNarrative’s regal yet fiercely powerful physicality contrasts the airy movement of the corset dresses she wears as she jumps, glides, and does burpees with impressive ease in the streamlined trainers. The beguiling performance was directed by BRIT Award-winning director Sophie Muller who expertly captures the talents of Mette, whose previously danced with musicians like Pharrell and Rihanna.

The Sprint Runner, Alexander McQueen

Making their debut at the Alexander McQueen S/S 22 womenswear runway show, that was staged in a carpark rooftop in East London, the Sprint Runner was similarly paired with the brand’s signature princess-like gowns, as well as razor-sharp tailoring. Inspired by classic running trainers, this sleek silhouette is defined by the exaggerated rubber sole (that's become a staple in the brand’s trainer lineup), the classic white and black colourway proves to be a versatile addition to any footwear rotation no matter the occasion. Still, its the three-dimensional detailing of the brand's crest on the side that adds the perfect amount of heritage flourish and makes it ideal for pairing with the the brand's romance imbued designs.
