adidas Originals Teams Up With NTS
At SHOWstudio, we’re well aware that fashion and music go hand and hand (we have a whole podcast dedicated to it). But what about the relationship between music and football? Who better to enlighten us than with two giants in their respective fields; adidas Originals and global radio platform NTS. The two have just teamed up on a limited-edition capsule collection merging music and football like never before.
Inspired by adidas Original's early aughts archive, the collection features an exclusive Samba Millennium in two new colour ways (light blue and black). What better to pair the iconic shoe with than a range of football shirts for Marseille, Berlin, Barcelona, New York and London? London’s comes in contrasting pinks with both the NTS and adidas logo boldly stamped on the front.
Through the lens of London-based NTS Radio, the collaboration looked to the city’s ever-evolving underground football culture. Accompanying the release is a campaign featuring longtime NTS friends and collaborators, including Bianca Scout, DJ Bempha, Annabelle Moedilliner, and Coumba Samba in a friendly football match.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise then that community is at the heart of the collab. To celebrate the launch adidas Originals and NTS are set to host pop-ups across the five cities coordinating to the jerseys. Expect no shortage of iconic DJs to make a cameo.
The adidas Originals x NTS collection drops on 1 June.
