Are you a film fanatic? Interested in anything from the weird and obscure to big money making blockbusters? If so, you'll be pleased to know Girls in Film are hosting their very own film festival, including talks and screenings by, about, and for female, nonbinary and trans filmmakers at House of Vans in London in May.

Showcasing a screening as part of the festival is Zodiac Film Club who have partnered with Girls in Film for the weekend extravaganza. Wanting to spotlight female directors who create highly decorative worlds in their filmmaking, Zodiac Film Club will hone in on the work of director Anna Biller and her film The Love Witch as well as Jamie Babbit's But I'm A Cheerleader to visually paint their message, also screening some of their earlier shorts. Zodiac Film Club's screening will take place on Saturday 7 May at 15:15 GMT.

Also happening on the Saturday is a Mubi screening of Jessica Beshir's documentary FAYA DAYI, a journey into the rituals of khat, a leaf that Sufi Muslims have chewed for centuries for religious meditations and Ethiopia's most lucrative cash crop.

The Girls in Film festival is taking place 6-8 May at House of Vans London. Tickets are free and will go live on 27 April. Be sure to snap yours up quickly! You won't want to miss this.
