In a world that appears to be divided as ever due to the impact of COVID-19 on the world's travel laws and social gatherings, cross collaborations - particularly with brands from different fashion capitals like Milan and London - remain as crucial as ever before. Recognising this, fashion label JORDANLUCA have teamed up with Italian streetwear platform Slam Jam to create the exclusive capsule collection Burning Desire which debuted as part of Milan Fashion week.
The collaborative collection was influenced by a myriad of references, presented as a clash of forces that worked to fuse Italian heritage with London counter-culture. The campaign also pays a subtle nod to the collection's references - cut-and-paste collaged imagery serves as an ode to the London Punk scene, while tattoo designs and the history of Italian streetwear also served as inspirations for the collection.
Focusing on signature styles that embody today's streetwear scene, the collaboration mainly features casual wear, comprising of t-shirts (€260), hoodies (€657) and a tracksuit. Considering the future of the planet and the world around them, the two names have also made the collection with environmentally conscious choices in mind; by designing the tracksuit using recycled nylon made from ocean plastic, both JORDANLUCA and Slam Jam bring their beliefs in re-birth and the environment to the forefront of the collection. T-shirts and jerseys are designed in organic cotton, with the graphic t-shirt featuring a delicate screen-printed image of a rock'n'roll-inspired burning rose, worked on by hand to add that much-needed human touch.
