From grandmothers down to mothers and daughters, the French Canadian brand's latest project is a homage to the women who shape us.

In advance of International Women's Day, the French Canadian label 3.PARADIS have unveiled the next chapter in their long-term project LIFE IS BORN OF WOMAN, paying homage to the great women of the everyday. A series of portraits celebrate the women who have shaped the lives of seven notable creatives, as creative director Emeric Tchatchoua, Sarah Berdah and Taylor Yu team up with a host of image-makers including Stephen Tayo, Julien Boudet, Cindy Romero, Carin Backoff, Jean-Jacques N'Djoli, Jora Frantzis and Yulya Shadrinsky, whose subjects wear a limited-edition charity t-shirt designed by 3.Paradis.

3.PARADIS x Stephen Tayo. 'The person in the photograph is my mother. She's literally my hero. My teaching me life values and showing me everything is possible.'

The LVMH nominated brand has social awareness at their core. Just last year, 3.PARAIDS' campaign saw Tchatchoua return to the housing estate he grew up on in Paris' 15th arrondissement. LIFE IS BORN OF A WOMAN continues to keep things close to home, by photographing the women who hold everything together. Here are the mothers, the grandmothers and the daughters who keep Tchatchoua and his creative contemporaries ticking.

'There are not enough words to express our gratitude to women but a gesture in the format which speaks to us most is a simple start that can have a beautiful impact', 3.Paradis said in a statement.

3.PARADIS x Julien Boudet. 'I photographed my aunt, my mother’s sister. She lives literally across the street from my mom so she’s been very present in our life since I was born. I wanted to pay homage to her because she’s pretty much my second mom. When my father passed away...she was there for us and really did her best to help us. In the meantime she took care of her mom who was sick, never sent her to a nursing home, instead she’d even bring her to her store everyday until she died...She’s probably the nicest person I know on Earth.'

The t-shirt launches next week, on International Women's Day (8 March), here. All proceeds go to The Shoebox Project, a cause which distributes shoeboxes filled with essentials and gifts, to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, across the US, the UK and Canada.

Lesley Hendry, Executive Director of Shoebox Project, said in a statement:

'Often, people impacted by homelessness report feeling invisible and alone, even when surrounded by others. Our job is not only to provide women with a few necessary items and small gifts to help them through a challenging time, but also to help them feel more connected to, and valued by, their community.

Sometimes its the people closest to us that we fail to properly honour. We are thrilled to be partnering with 3.PARADIS, who are bringing the most influential women in our lives to the forefront to be celebrated, and calling on their followers to share messages of empathy, compassion, appreciation and respect.'

Promoting female empowerment, it's a worthy cause if ever we saw one.
