Yana Peel

CEO

Born in Russia before emigrating with her family to Canada, Yana Peel was appointed CEO of the Serpentine Galleries in April 2016, working in tandem with Artistic Director Hans-Ulrich Obrist. Raised in Toronto, Peel read Russian Studies at McGill University before undertaking a postgraduate degree in economics at the London School of Economics. 

Peel co-founded the Outset Contemporary Art Fund in 2003 and Intelligence Squared Asia in 2009. In 2012 Peel became the CEO of the Intelligence Squared Group. Peel also co-chaired the Hong Kong art space Para Space between 2010 and 2015; and founded the Victoria and Albert Museum's Design Fund in 2011.
