Lanji's background in fashion previously saw him work with many East London Lady Gaga collaborators including the likes of Fred Butler, Kim Howells and and Alex Noble before shaping a new career in TV. He has also been a part of teams that have helped produce and curate many of the fashion industry's '21st century-defining cultural moments'.

In 2017, he curated Conservation Couture at the Victoria and Albert Museum which saw bespoke headpieces made from fashion houses and designers including Chloe, Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier, Piers Atkinson, and more.

Lanji's beliefs and efforts in raising awareness and visibility as a queer South Asian creative has meant he's become a public figure in the LGBTQIA community. Since founding, HUNGAMA (East London's Alt Bollywood night), Lanji has found himself regularly booked as a TV personality and ambassador for brands hosting talks, curating events and exhibitions as well as contributing his talents to Bollywood infused DJ sets most recently in Paris, Mumbai, Copenhagen and New York.
