Rory Crichton
Textile Designer
Rory Crichton is an illustrator and textile designer based in London. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art with a BA in Printed Textile Design in 1992, it took him only two years to establish himself as a freelance textile designer. His first clients included Prada, Missoni and Katherine Hamnett, and he went on to act as consultant to several leading international brands, including: Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton. He has also worked in the music industry, creating album illustration for Pulp's We Love Life and collaborated with Peter Saville Associates on publicity material for Audley. Crichton consulted on a range of printed textiles accessories for Marc Jacobs in 2005, and his work has been shown in exhibitions such as: Inaugural exhibition, Roma Roma Roma, Rome, 2002; Fair with The Modern Institute, Royal College of Art, London, 2001; Premier Vision, Paris 1997 and a solo exhibition at Troy Interiors, New York, 1995.
