Pat McGrath MBE is a British make-up artist noted as one of the most sought after and most influential within her field. She began her career in the 1990s with her creative partnership with photographer Steven Meisel, with whom she has created every cover and lead editorial story for Vogue Italia.
Each season, Pat McGrath conceptualises and creates beauty looks for more than 60 ready-to-wear and couture shows in Milan, Paris, London and New York for brands and designers including Prada, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Gucci, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Maison Margiela, Yohji Yamamoto, Valentino, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Nina Ricci, Calvin Klein, Loewe, and Alexander McQueen, to name a select few.
She has also launched luxury cosmetic brands for Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci, and having been appointed Global Beauty Creative Design Director by Procter & Gamble in 2004, she oversaw Covergirl and Max Factor.
In 2015 she launched Pat McGrath Labs., her own line of beauty products, which by 2019 had become a $1 billion company.
2017 saw McGrath hired by her previous colleague and friend, Edward Enninful as Beauty Editor-at-Large for British Vogue, and in the same year won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at the Fashion Awards, a British Fashion Council event.
