Noritaka Tatehana

Noritaka Tatehana is a Japanese shoe designer. He was raised in Kamakura, where he initially started making dresses and shoes when he was 15. He studied Fine Arts and Sculpture at the Tokyo National University of the Arts, later majoring in dyeing and weaving.  In 2010, he established his own maison, NORITAKA TATEHANA. Every single shoe that is released as part of his collections is handcrafted by the designer himself. His collections draw attention from both the art and fashion world, and are championed by the likes of Lady Gaga and Daphne Guinness.
