Michael van der Ham

Michael van der Ham is a Dutch fashion designer. Van der Ham graduated with a Fashion MA from Central Saint Martins and previously worked at Sophia Kokosalaki and Alexander McQueen.

Van der Ham launched his womenswear label in 2009. His design signature of fabric, texture and colour collages has garnered him both Fashion East and NewGen sponsorship. Van der Ham won the British Fashion Council's Fashion Forward prize in 2013.

His womenswear collections are stocked at retailers including Liberty, Harvey Nichols, Ikram and Net A Porter. Van der Ham has collaborated with brands such as Topshop and Brora. He also designed costumes for Björk and Tori Amos, as well as for the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

The designer stopped showing at London Fashion Week in 2015, but teamed up with Sophia Webster to design dresses to accompany her shoes for S/S 18.
