Man Like Me
Musician
Man Like Me was a band formed by Johnny Langer and Peter Duffy in 2005. They met while at school in North London, and bonded through their mutual love of musician Tricky, weed and skateboarding. Dropping the last two, the pair announced themselves with the Nu Rave banger Oh My Gosh, quit their jobs, and 'have been playing rent catch-up ever since' [band's own words]. The 'best damn live act in the UK' (Loud & Quiet) then embarked on a 'never-ending world tour'. From L.A. to Estonia, Cape Town to Stoke, Man Like Me arrived pockets filled with songs London Town, Single Dad, Carny and Lovestruck. Man Like Me collaborated with 80s musician Jona Lewie and IKEA in a primetime TV ad. When asked to describe themselves they prefer an air of mystery, only revealing that Man Like Me is 'like a slow cooked tagine.'
Man Like Me disbanded in 2013.
