Lunathi Mngxuma is a photographer and sculptor from Cape Town, South Africa.

In 2016, Mngxuma was introduced to photography through the Of Soul and Joy Photography project, wanting to engage with the practice to raise conversation and debate surrounding his work.

Inspired by the works of Ernest Cole, Mngxuma is mainly interested in documentary photography and in 2018, exhibited his project Urban Farming at Johannesburg's StopSign gallery. In 2019, his work was featured in Thokoza's own photo festival and in 2020, he exhibited his second body of work at Cape Town Art Fair.
