Lou Stoppard is a writer, curator and broadcaster. Stoppard completed her undergraduate degree at Oxford University, earning a first class BA in History, before moving to Central Saint Martins College to pursue an MA in Fashion Journalism. Stoppard worked at SHOWstudio from 2011 to 2017, serving as the platform's editor for a number of years. She is a contributing editor at GQ and writes regularly for titles includingVogue Paris and The Financial Times. Stoppard has produced papers for the British Council, sits on the advisory board for the AHRC-funded Archaeology of Fashion Film and is a patron of Studio Voltaire. Stoppard regularly collaborates with the V&A on their talks and events programs. She teaches and guest lectures at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion.

Stoppard has conducted written and video conversations with the likes of Wolfgang Tillmans, Kanye West and Peter Lindbergh. In 2016, Stoppard curated Mad About The Boy, at Fashion Space Gallery in London. In 2017, Stoppard's exhibition North: Fashioning Identity, co-curated with Adam Murray, opened at Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool. The exhibition later toured to Somerset House in London. Stoppard's debut book, Fashion Together, was published by Rizzoli in October 2017, timing with an exhibition of the same name curated by Stoppard at Fashion Space Gallery. In 2020 Stoppard released her second book, Pools, also published by Rizzoli. In 2019, Stoppard curated The Hoodie exhibition at Rotterdam's Het Nieuwe Instituut.
