Born in 1994 in Kansas City, USA, Lindsey Wixson began her modeling career in her hometown in 2009 with a local agency before moving to Los Angeles to sign with Vision Models. After moving to New York, she was signed by Marilyn in 2009 and made her modelling debut at Cynthia Steffe’s show. Wixson was booked exclusively after that to open the Prada Spring/Summer 2009 show and close Miu Miu for the same season.
The 178cm tall model has since graced the catwalk for many fashion brands: Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Missoni, Oscar de la Renta, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace. Shot by Emma Summerton, Wixson appeared on the cover of i-D magazine in 2010. She was on the cover of Purple magazine in 2011 as well, working with fashion photographer Terry Richardson. Since her debut, she has done editorial shoots for publications such as Dazed & Confused, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, V, Vogue and W.
Wixson was the face of John Galliano in 2010 and Alexander McQueen in 2011. She appeared in advertising campaigns for Mulberry and Just Cavalli in Spring/Summer 2012. Her look is defined by bee-stung lips and gapped front teeth.
