Katherine Poulton began working in the fashion industry as a model at the age of fourteen. She was the designer and co-owner of knitwear brand The North Circular with business partner Lily Cole. The North Circular was launched at London Fashion Week in 2009 and quickly snapped up by international retailers. The company also won support from the BFC mentoring scheme and RSPC Good Business Awards and featured in Vogue's September issue.
Specialising in hand-knitted accessories, produced 100% in the UK, The North Circular championed natural material products, made by hand envisioned with a full life cycle and presented with a transparent life story behind them.
