Joseph Bates is a London-based artist and image maker who works across various mediums including costume design, photography and styling. His work often focuses on themes of sentimentality and dressing.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins' Fashion Communication and Promotion course in 2020, Bates shot and styled self-portraits in his home for Christopher Kane’s festive collection.
In 2021, his pieces were styled by Gareth Wrighton and shot by Nick Knight for their collaborative project film Face Off.
