Jon Savage is best known for his writing on British punk, namely his award-winning book England's Dreaming: The Sex Pistols and Punk Rock. Published in 2004, the book documents the history of the band and the punk scene. His book Teenage: The Creation of Youth Culture was published in 2007 and explores the historical notion of teenage. The feature film documentary based on the book, Teenage, premiered in the UK at the London Film Festival in October 2013. He has written for many leading publications, including NME, Melody Maker and Mojo.
