Jan Taminiau

Fashion Designer

Jan Taminiau is a fashion designer living and working in the Netherlands. He graduated from Arnhem Academy of Art in 2001, going on to study at at Fashion Institute Arnhem. While a student, he sold a creation to the Municipal Museum in The Hague and his final-year project earned him the prestigious Roos Gesink Award for the most talented designer. Prior to establishing the Jantaminiau label in 2003, Taminiau worked for designers including Oscar Sulyman, Olivier Theyskens and corsetier Hubert Barriere in Paris.

His work has been featured in Hywel Davies' 100 New Fashion Designers book in 2008, and Jenny Udale's 2008 book Basics Fashion Design: Textiles and Fashion.
