Christie's theatrical career includes an appearance in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Great Expectations and Pravada, and playing the Queen in Cymbeline at the Barbican. On screen, she has landed supporting roles in the BBC TV production, The Seven Ages of Britain, and in July 2011, she was cast as the warrior Brienne of Tarth in the second season of HBO's fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.
