Guo Pei is a Chinese couturier. For over 20 years, she has been dressing celebrities, distinguished ladies, royalty and political elite, now based between Beijing and Paris.

Guo Pei aims to breathe new life into embroidery and painting traditions that date back thousands of years, celebrating traditional Chinese craftsmanship while incorporating contemporary innovation and Western style. For Guo Pei, fabric, shape and texture meet storytelling; she is inspired by fairy tales, myths and legends.

Her eponymous label launched in 1997 and employs more than 500 skilled artisans, after graduating from the Beijing School of Industrial Fashion Design and over ten years' experience as a designer for several major clothing manufacturers. Pei made her Paris Haute Couture debut in January 2016, unveiling her Courtyard collection to wide critical acclaim.

In 2015, the pop singer Rihanna wore one of Pei's designs, a yellow embroidered cape, to the Met Gala, which drew widespread global attention to Pei's work.
