Gray M.C.A

Gallery

Gray M.C.A is an art gallery specialising in original fashion illustration, as well as modern British painters, textile design, and contemporary painting and sculpture. They are credited with being the UK's leading authority on original fashion illustration from post-war to the 1970s. The acclaimed regular exhibition Drawing on Style has been a key art event coinciding with London Fashion Week.

Gray MCA also sources the rarest and best examples of textiles designed by the modern British masters working at the forefront of the art world in post-war Europe, including Ben Nicholson, Henry Moore, Keith Vaughan, William Scott, the Ascher Studio and Alistair Morton’s Edinburgh Weavers.

Alongside this, Gray M.C.A carefully selects a small number of contemporary artists and sculptors rooted in the finest traditions of modern painting, textile design and sculpture, and works closely with interior designers worldwide.

A dedicated lecture programme is offered on the historical importance of Modern British painters, textiles and fashion illustration. As a leading authority on modern British painters and textile design, gallery founder Ashley Gray is regularly asked to speak at both private and public events.
